This 3 hour Continued Education opportunity is designed to enhance your understanding of neurodiversity and equip you with affirming, effective strategies to support students and families across school and community settings. Unlike traditional SEL, this training takes an inclusive approach centered on collaboration, empowerment, and practical application. Created and facilitated by a neurodivergent clinician and previous school social worker, this training brings lived experience together with professional expertise.

About your course instructor
Hello! My name is Hannah Spivak and I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado. Before opening my private practice Hannah Rose Therapy LLC, I worked as a school social worker in Colorado for nearly a decade. During that time, I collaborated closely with students, families, teachers, administrators, psychologists, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary team members to support students with diverse learning needs.
As someone who identifies as neurodivergent and has worked on both the school and clinical side, I understand the unique strengths and challenges each system brings. I also recognize that meaningful support for neurodivergent students happens when schools, families, and community providers work collaboratively while honoring each student's individual needs, strengths, and neurotype. Rather than focusing on changing neurodivergent students, we'll explore ways to create environments, systems, and relationships that foster belonging, autonomy, accessibility, and success.
My goal is for participants to leave with practical, affirming strategies they can immediately implement, along with a deeper understanding of how collaboration across disciplines can improve outcomes for neurodivergent students.
